Orange is the new white – Sticky Wicket 2015 sponsored by ASP

ASP News

You may see some orange alongside the traditional white as event website specialists bring ASP Sticky Wicket to Regents Park on the 22nd July.

Keen (and not so keen) cricketers will take to the crease throughout the day in a bid to capture the coveted Sticky Wicket trophy from defending champions UBM.

As headline sponsor, ASP will support the event right through to the after-party held at the nearby Edinboro Castle pub – expect to see their trademark colour make an appearance including in the refreshments.

Sticky Wicket is designed as a fun day out for organisers, venues and suppliers in the events and exhibitions industry, but with a serious mission at its heart to raise money for a great cause, The Lord’s Taverners.

This year ASP Sticky Wicket will be focussing on raising money to pay for a 16 seater minibus for Linden Lodge School, a sensory and physical college which supports young people across the South East of England.

The minibus will help pupils gain access to activities outside the school and will also allow larger groups to go out and support the school’s summer holiday schemes.

Arran Coole, ASP CEO commented: “Sticky Wicket is a fixture in the year for event professionals – a rare chance to get out from under venue lights and possibly even get some sunshine!  But, more importantly it’s a chance for the industry to band together and support a good cause.

We decided to increase our involvement this year to celebrate the industry we love and we’d like to encourage everyone involved in events and exhibitions to grab a wristband and join us in Regents Park if they can.  And if not, join us for the tales of glory and woe over a drink at the after-party.”

ASP Sticky Wicket takes place at The Hub, Regents Park from 10.00 on 22nd July.  Wristbands for non-players are £25 on the door.  The after-party is at the Edinboro Castle, Mornington Crescent from 18.00
